About Abass Dodoo

Abass Dodoo was born into a family of Royal master Ghanaian Drummers whose existence was not only steeped in the traditions of Ghanaian music and dance, but also in the folklore of traditional medicines. He has toured extensively since then. And had been involved in many innovative performances, recordings, TV appearances and educational projects.

Leading workshops throughout Europe (including WOMAD), Abass magically turns the audience into performers, and entertainment into a lived experience, as is the tradition in Ghana. At workshops in schools, business team building and festivals, Abass turns workshops into creative participation experiences with the result of solidarity in the cohesive experience.

Abass says: " I love playing music as it makes me feel like I'm walking on the moon."
