SPACES AT GROW

Grow is part of an ecosystem called Grow Studios for artists, makers and musicians. Grow (the venue) has a mezzanine; canalside garden terrace; greenhouse and indoor warehouse space.

The Studios has over 100 local artists, creative practitioners and small businesses in the studios and coworking space.

SPACES IN THE VENUE

GROW’S GREENHOUSE

Located on the canalside, made out of upcycled bus shelters, this greenhouse has bespoke tables and benches (each seating 4-6 people) and decor giving it the perfect indoor-outdoor feel. Ideal for an intimate gathering with a view of the River Lea, kept warm by heaters powered by eco-electricity, enjoy Grow’s sustainable menu food and signature drinks and soak up the atmosphere. As with the rest of the venue, enjoy table service when you order online (or via the QR code) from your table.

 

GROW’S CANALSIDE TERRACE

Transformed from a derelict concrete industrial space, you can escape the hustle and busy of the city on this canalside garden terrace with tables (for 2-6 people). Surrounded by planters with herbs and heated by eco-electricity, tables on the canalside have a view of the River Lea and Grow’s floating reedbeds which help biodiversity and water quality. Many tables are covered with awning or, when needed, large umbrellas. As with the rest of the venue, enjoy table service when you order online from your table.

 

GROW’S MEZZANINE

Built in 2021, this mezzanine is level with the River Lea, giving you a view of the canalside terrace and boats as they go by. It’s also gives you a great view of the stage when live music is on inside. This is an ideal space to work from during the day, with a free hot drink with every main (Wed-Fri 11-4pm) and to meet friends or colleagues for a get-together anytime of the day or evening. As with the rest of the venue, you can stay seated with table service when ordering online. The mezzanine closes at 11pm as the party moves downstairs.

 

GROW’S INDOOR SPACE

Converted from a sausage factory to a cosy indoor space with a cabaret-style table setup. You can enjoy food and drink and live music (when on), surrounded by Grow’s iconic warehouse decor. As with the rest of the venue, you can stay seated with table service when ordering online. In regards to Covid-19, we are mindful of ventilation and have a filtration system indoors to reduce the airborne pathogen risk. This space is great for dancing and this is why on Fridays and Saturdays, the tables are only available until 8/9pm.

 

GROW STUDIOS

Grow Studios is an ecosystem of over 30 creative practitioners, small businesses, emerging & established artists; photography; music studios and events spaces within two canal side warehouses located in Main Yard in Hackney Wick. Because of the range of sizes of units, studio holders can adapt to their needs which has, in turn, led to a healthy ecosystem of makers. From ceramicists, painters, sculptors, conceptual, audio and visual artists, to musicians, designers, photographers, carpenters, set designers to clothes and mask makers and many more

COWORKING SPACE

Grow Studios’ creative coworking space, featuring desk space, artist booths and a meeting room for up to 6 people. The community is made up of visual artists, creatives and graphic designers who are mindful and respectful of each others working habits. Generally a quiet place with a friendly and social atmosphere where collaboration is encouraged.
