Afro Latin band, Tumbaito, led by Williams Cumberbatch, a drummer that has worked with the likes of Bjork and Goldie return to Grow for an extended set of live Afro Latin grooves.

Williams returns after his phenomenal set for us at our birthday where he put together a 9 piece band and played some material that he hadn’t played in decades.

The inimitable Petra’s Dream, the Cosmic Collective of DJs, Musicians and visual creatives take us through till the early hours with the finest in Heavenly disco, Island Funk, South African Bubblegum, Balearic Boogie, Dubwise sounds & more.

Tumbaito will perform at 10pm on the night

£6 after 9pm

Book a mezzanine table for the gig for £7pp. The rest of the gig will be standing. We can seat maximum 15 people that will have a great view of the performance.

There are a limited amount of tables available to book of varying sizes and there are plenty of spaces available for walk ups on any day. We accept bookings up till 3pm.

Tumbaito are led by Venezuelan percussionist, Williams Cumberbatch, an artist that has worked with The Cure, Bjork and Goldie, based in UK since 1992. After representing Venezuela in the commemoration of their 500 year anniversary organised by the BBC with 2 bands representing Latin America; Los Muñequitos de Matanzas (Cuba) & Grupo Entreverao (Venezuela) where William was percussion leader. Since his arrival in the UK he has collaborated and been invited to play with top musicians and bands from all different branches of the music industry among them:

Recently recording with Grammy award winner member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers saxophonist Jean Toussaint last 2 albums and performed with Orphy Robinson’s AACM homage at the London Jazz festival 2015 featuring maestro Louis Moholo from South Africa on drums alone a “troupe of local UK jazz heroes.” The Guardian.

Our Spice Trail inspired menu is predominantly plant based, with some ethically sourced meat options, as part of our conscious drive towards sustainability. Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.

With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our own drinks such as homemade Hackney Spiced Rum.
