EQUAL PARTS // PARRIS // HOUSE // UK BASS // TECHNO // AMBIENT // GARAGE
Equal Parts touch down at Grow this spring to deliver a very special extended 3-hr set by one of the best in the business: Parris.
ABOUT THE EVENT
A highly regarded selector known for weaving together immersive soundscapes from hypnotic, percussive crescendos and joyous house steppers, Parris' creative evolution reflects a decade inside the engine room of UK club music. With an experimental ear honed at the crucial parties, labels and record shops of the 2010s, the Hackney-born artist has released a host of acclaimed records for cult labels The Trilogy Tapes, Idle Hands and Hemlock. In 2019 Parris launched Can You Feel The Sun, an outlet for his productions with Berlin-based counterpart Call Super and home of his long-awaited full-length album Soaked In Indigo Moonlight (2021). Following this up with one of 2024's biggest releases in Passionfruit, 'a lovely EP that balances club-ready heft with elegant emotion' (RA), Parris' diverse record crates cultivate a unique genre-fluid style that plugs sound system pressure into pulsating house, delicious techno, and fragments of pop glitz. He's graced the decks at world-class clubs and festivals including Houghton and Dekmantel, and dropped recent mixes for Truancy, The Lot Radio, and fabric.
First record 7 pm, last record 3 am.

EQUAL PARTS // TIA COUSINS // DEM // HOUSE // TECHNO // CLUB // DISCO
Join Equal Parts this autumn at GROW Hackney for a night of dance with Tia Cousins and local legend Dem, delivering an eclectic mix of house, disco, and techno.
This autumn, Equal Parts welcomes everyone’s favourite cousin to Hackney Wick for a GROW debut! London-based former NTS resident Tia Cousins is a DJ with a kaleidoscopic taste and sound. The queen of chug, in recent years Tia has warmed up for Overmono, lain down tasty b2bs with Ruf Dug and graced the decks at Europe’s top dance halls. Equally at home on the festival circuit as on the dancefloor, Tia has played at Field Maneuvers, Gottwood, and Love International, festivals she gets invited back to year after year. While Tia’s daytime show on Noods Radio showcases the softer side of her sound, spanning guitar-based sounds like postpunk, psychedelic, Kraut-rock and everything in-between, her DJ sets embrace dance-ready soundscapes showcasing all manner of chug, from cosmic downtempo and disco, to spaced out techno, electro and house. We are thrilled to host Tia for our headline slot and can’t wait for her to join us.
Warming up for Tia on the night will be local legend and all-round house veteran Dem (fka Hemlin). Dem’s sets span house, pop, disco and breaks, delivering soulful boat-party energy to dancefloors and festivals far and wide. Dem is a bastion for equality in the scene and cut her teeth as one part of Common Ground collective (fka Rhythm Sister), a platform, collective and community for women, NB, LGBTQA+ in music. This will be Dem’s third time on the bill at Equal Parts and we are thrilled she accepted our invite to return once again.
Equal Parts delivers only the very finest musical experiences guaranteeing maximum kinetic and aural pleasure. As always, expect only the very finest in dance-ready house, disco, and techno all night long. Tia Cousins and Dem will be supported on the night by Equal Parts resident DJs.
